What a representative should not own alone

Kavita Sree
Purple abstract cover for an article on representative scope

Local speed is valuable. Local invention of the offer is not. The representative should be able to explain a decision, not be the only person who made it.

Three decisions to reserve #

Fees, entry standards, and any claim the institution makes about recognition should be signed at home. The representative can recommend. They should not publish a variation because a partner asked on a Thursday.

What they should own #

Partner meetings, the local calendar, and the first reading of whether a request is even possible. That is the judgment you hired. It needs a clear edge so it does not spill into academic policy.

Write the edge down #

A one-page authority note prevents the awkward email where a partner quotes your representative against your prospectus.

Planning a market, or a team to run it?
